I was browsing through much Physiotherapy related blogs, but found myself connecting to our Magazine instantly as it is short, simple and providing adequate information to begin with! Most of us would agree it’s difficult to read elaborate ones and incorporate them in our System!
A sincere thank you to PHYSIOTIMES for providing me an immediate opportunity to share my experiences to write MY VERY FIRST BLOG about my course of Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the MGH Institute of Health Professions located at Boston, USA. I have tried my level best to help many colleagues around with the best possible suggestions, however in the end each has to prioritize their goals and plans!
My program is a 16 month course of 4 semesters beginning and ending in Fall( August) with an optional extension of a semester in which is a 2 credit course( This was added keeping in mind International Visa issues and OPT rules in mind for those who wish to stay back and work in USA). Though its a year and half , the course is quite hectic in the initial two semesters as it keeps you on your toes with the assignments, adapting to the new system of GPA in which you realise that 83 is a minimum passing score! Later on it gets a little relaxed in Summer, allowing you to concentrate on the Module you wish to specialize in.( Neuro or Orthopedics)
