Most physios don’t use their hands purposefully enough in the spine and are too cautious when going into a back. Unfortunately, this may render the treatment ineffectual. To treat a back properly and to get rid of pain, you absolutely must find the specific problem level and literally ‘touch the pain’. Physios are often too general in their spinal mobilisations and don’t engage with the pain sufficiently at the Number 1 problem level. You have to target that pain and meet it head-on, without taking a backward step!
