PHYSIO SPEAKS: Experiences of a Sports Physio - NEHA KARNIK

Frankly physiotherapy was never my first choice, I always wanted to be a veterinary doctor but I ended taking Bachelors course in Physiotherapy after my parents insisted. So I landed in KLES institute of Physiotherapy which was then the department of Physiotherapy in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) in Belgaum. I particularly enjoyed studying anatomy and biomechanics. Biomechanics seemed like a wickedly interesting combination of physics and anatomy. I had immense support from my professors in the college. They challenged us to think and clinically reason our choice of treatment approach. I enjoyed that process. I was never a bookish person; I was always a more hand on physio in making.
