It would be rather redundant stating present problems and future apprehensions related to physiotherapy (PT) profession and professionals (PTs) in India. Ever blossoming number of substandard PT institutions and student admissions, lack of professional statutory and governing body(ies) and poor professional practicing regulations and ineptitudes have meant that the dignity, importance and recognition of this profession is on the wane. We have been ruing, whining, complaining for decades now. Some of us have continued to pass the buck to others; some have shun themselves and have become indifferent while others have continued to remain gullible and obtuse thinking that the association or the formation of a council would bail them and all their problems out one day.
