View Point: Journal Publishing: Separating the wheat from the chaff By Asir John Samuel

Introduction: Physiotherapy researchers are recognized and valued based on their research publications. If there is no research publication produced by a researcher, then it is considered that the researcher was not involved in any research work. Researcher’s research work is known to the world only by their scientific publications. Research publication in standard journals earns them research funding by recognized funding agencies and entitle them for international travel grant. Unfortunately, most Indian physiotherapists, physiotherapist students and scholars are unaware about genuine publishing platforms. Their research work is wasted and not known to research community by publishing in fake journals. This short review throws light on publication practices prevalent in India among the Indian physiotherapists.
