PHYSIO SPEAKS: Interview with an Australian Educator - DR. SARAVANA KUMAR

Dr.Saravana Kumar is a senior lecturer at school of health sciences, universities of South Australia, Adelaide. He is also the deputy director of the international centre for allied health Evidence (Icahe). Dr.kumar completed his schooling in Chennai and migrated to Australia in 1995 to commencehis undergraduate education. Dr.Kumar undertook his studies at university of South Australia where he completed his bachelor of applied science (Physiotherapy) in 1998, Master of physiotherapy (Manipulative and sports) in 2000 and doctor of philosophy in 2005. Since completing his studies, he has been employed as a researcher and academic at university of south Australia. During this time, he has won numerous awards and citations, including the prestigious a south Australian Tally Poppy Award. He was the first physiotherapist to win this award in south Australia and this award recognizes the achievements of Australia’s outstanding young scientific researchers and communicators.
